What is Ketogenic diet?

Ketogenic or Keto diet is special type of diet which allow your body to use ketones as main fuel source.

Usually main energy source for our body is glucose which received from carbohydrates. Let us now imagine that we have reduced the intake of carbohydrates, which means we have reduced the energy input to the body while maintaining the usual level of activity. Our brain receives a signal from the whole body about a decrease in the amount of fuel. The brain evaluates the situation and sends a signal to the liver which allows it to start producing special molecules called ketones, which then replace glucose in the body.
